Most Carshare models offer a variety of vehicles, including small vehicles for in-town trips, trucks for moving large loads, and possibly even 4WD vehicles for mountainous or snowy driving.

Carshare users often end up slimming their vehicle portfolio because of how much more affordable and convenient it can be. Depending on the model, users can often pay by the hour or by the mile. Some systems require an annual or monthly membership fee.
