The 2023 Wyland Mayor's Challenge is now closed. We hope you will continue to participate in water conservation efforts throughout the rest of the year.

Help us win!

Grand Junction came in fourth place last year in the Wyland National Mayor's Challenge. This year we are asking our community members to join our Mayor and take the pledge to conserve water this April and throughout 2023. Community members can take the pledge by going to mywaterpledge.com, and entering 'Grand Junction' as your city, then taking the interactive pledge! You can also enter to win daily prizes, including up to $3,000 toward your Utility bill!

Water Wise

Grand Junction is located in an arid climate area that relies on our unique river systems and snow runoff for water supply. Living in this area requires community members and visitors to conserve this precious resource. The Wyland Mayor's Water Challenge encourages community members to engage in meaningful everyday practices to conserve water. What might this include? Maybe take the pledge as a family to encourage shorter shower times, or only washing full loads of laundry. If you are a homeowner with a lawn, practice the 3-2-1 watering schedule. There are many ways to conserve water and we want to hear from our community about how you're participating! Use the story tool below to comment or leave a picture on conserving water.
