Matchett Park Playground Survey

The Community Recreation Center (CRC) Plan from 2022 had envisioned an outdoor facilities phase dependent on grants.  If funded, it would be built concurrently with the CRC construction, which voters thankfully approved in the April 2023 election.  The outdoor facilities phase includes an artificial turf field, the first of many to be built at Matchett.  This would allow year-round field sport use including soccer, lacrosse and football.  A playground would also be provided that, in contrast to the CRC which requires an admission fee, would be free for all to use.  The final components include the Burkey Park Shelter and an overflow parking area.  The CRC, along with these outdoor facilities if funded, will be built at the same time the CRC is constructed.  Please take a few minutes and share your feedback including giving the City guidance on exactly what you would want to see with a Matchett Playground.
